What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Sous Chef assists in the daily operation of Vicolo and Solfina by supervising food production, ensuring quality standards, and supporting team development. This position plays a key role in maintaining consistency, efficiency, and exceptional guest experiences.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Supervise kitchen operations during assigned shifts.

· Ensure recipes & presentation standards are consistently executed

· Lead station setup, production, and service execution

· Train and coach culinary team members

· Monitor food quality & portion control.

· Assist with inventory management & ordering.

· Enforce sanitation & food safety standards

· Support labor management & productivity initiatives.

· Assist with menu rollouts & culinary promotions.

What are we looking for?

· Minimum 2-4 years of supervisory culinary experience.

· Strong understanding of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

· Experience in upscale restaurants, hotels, or resorts preferred

· Strong culinary fundamentals and leadership skills.

· Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to work in hot, cold, and humid kitchen environments.

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
