At Qantas, safety is our first priority. As we continue to modernise our fleet and strengthen our engineering capabilities, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced aviation professional to lead our Airworthiness Review and Records functions.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring continued airworthiness compliance across the fleet through the management of Airworthiness Reviews, Aircraft Records, Configuration Control and Receipts Compliance activities. You will work closely with engineering teams, maintenance providers, regulators and operational stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of safety, compliance and regulatory performance.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading the Airworthiness Review function and ensuring timely issuance of Airworthiness Review Certificates (ARC)
- Managing compliance with CASA and applicable airworthiness regulations
- Overseeing Configuration Control and Technical Records governance across multiple aircraft fleets
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across processes, systems and compliance activities
- Managing the integrity of technical records and maintenance documentation
- Leading and developing a team of technical specialists
- Partnering with regulators, engineering teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting new aircraft entry into service and aircraft transition projects
- Providing operational reporting, compliance insights and risk management support
You'll Bring
- Minimum 10 years' experience within aviation, engineering, maintenance or continuing airworthiness environments
- Strong knowledge of CASA regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements within a CAMO environment
- Experience leading technical, compliance or engineering teams
- Proven stakeholder management capability in complex operational environments
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvement and business change
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with maintenance management systems, ideally TRAX
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Engineering qualification preferred but not essential
