CNC Machinist / Programmer
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Saturday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 56 hours/week
Pay: Up to $33.00/hour, depending on experience
Potential Temp-to-Hire: After 90 days
Position Overview
We are hiring a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to produce precision-machined components and industrial equipment parts. The role involves CNC programming, machine setup, operation, inspection, and maintaining tight dimensional tolerances in a heavy industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills.
- Read and interpret shop machining drawings and technical documentation.
- Create CNC programs using G-code.
- Work with Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain controls. Experience with every control is not required.
- Machine parts to tight tolerances, including measurements as close as 0.0005".
- Inspect completed work using precision tools such as:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Dial bore gauges
- Maintain consistent part quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Follow safe operating practices in a heavy industrial environment.
- Maintain reliable attendance and a professional approach to work.
- Lift materials or components weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Work the scheduled hours, including Saturdays when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with CNC programming and machine operation.
- Ability to understand and work from technical and machining drawings.
- Strong precision measurement and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to maintain tight machining tolerances.
- Familiarity with G-code and CNC controls.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently while following production requirements.
