Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift to join our team located in Rice Lake, WI.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00p-6:30a | Overtime needs vary daily during the busy season.
The hourly range for this position is $23/hr - $32/hr + $3/hr shift differential based on experience with opportunity for pay increase on an annual basis.

What Success Looks Like:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
- Collaborate with other team members to address maintenance needs.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Your Credentials:
- igh school diploma or equivalent required; technical school, trade school, apprenticeship experience, or relevant certification is highly valued.
- Approximately two to three years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge with proven troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics and use maintenance tools and equipment proficiently.
- Experience working with multiple types of manufacturing equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with dependable attendance.
