Associate 2

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Performs routine duties requiring little experience such as shipping outbound boxes, units and parts as well as internally kitting and delivering volume parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Builds boxes according to instructions.

· Ships boxes to end user.

· Receives and stores bulk boxes.

· Inspects products and parts to verify identity.

· Inspects boxes, materials and products for cosmetic damage.

· Picks and properly packages products

· Accurately completes applicable paperwork and/or or enters into system(s).

· Unloads trucks using lift equipment, proper lifting techniques. Using skills and knowledge obtained from Forklift training

· Inspects all received materials for damage, identification and quantity.

· Prepares materials areas for physical inventory.

· Physically and accurately counts inventory according to procedures.

· Maintains cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, and the local community

· Works as part of the team and collaborates with co-workers and colleagues.

· Responsible for reading, understanding and following all work instructions (WI’s) for each function performed.

· Responsible for working in compliance with safety and all other training.

· Adheres to and supports QMN’s Corporate policies and procedures.

· Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by identifying all safety hazards and recommending corrective actions when necessary.

· Responsible for utilizing proper lifting and material movement techniques at all times.

· Maintains organization and cleanliness of warehouse(s).  Processes and stocks all releases.

· Performs all other related job duties as assigned by Management.

· Actively works to improve processes in the company.

DIRECTION RECEIVED:

Works within established guidelines and with close direction from Lead, Supervisor or Manager.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not directly supervise other employees and therefore does not have authority or responsibility for performing the supervisory functions of hiring, evaluating, disciplining, terminating or approving employee transactions.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Prior warehousing experience preferred.

· Shipping and/or Receiving experience preferred.

· Forklift experience preferred.

· Computer literate.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.

JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY:

· Able to recognize and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment and diplomacy.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Computer literate in a Windows Environment and Internet.

· Basic math skills.

· Accurate counting skills.

· Valid driver’s license and qualified to become certified on a forklift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.

· Able to squat to lift boxes weighing up to 65 pounds.

· Able to stand, stoop and bend.

· Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods.

· Able to work in warehouse environment with no central heat or air.

· Able to operate pallet jack and/or forklift.

· Hectic, fast paced.
