    Job description

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    The Test Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading server and rack testing operations within AMA Server production.

    This role ensures efficient rack progression, structured test execution, failure containment, and achievement of daily and weekly output commitments. The Supervisor drives execution discipline, enforces work instructions, and ensures proper escalation of technical issues impacting server and rack validation.

    The position partners cross-functionally with Debug, Test Engineering (TE), Product Engineering (PE), Quality (QE), IT, and Program teams to remove blockers, resolve recurring test instability, and maintain throughput while protecting quality standards.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Lead daily server and rack testing operations.

    · Drive output to meet daily and weekly production commitments.

    · Monitor WIP levels and prioritize aging or SLA-driven racks.

    · Ensure strict adherence to Work Instructions and structured test flows including FST, RLT, RAML, Seizo, PXE, and customer validation stages.

    · Supervise rack roll-ins, workflow assignments, and test stage progression.

    · Identify throughput bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

    · Escalate recurring test failures, firmware issues, configuration errors, or instability impacting progression.

    · Review system logs, error codes, and diagnostic outputs to guide troubleshooting direction.

    · Ensure accurate documentation within QMS and internal tracking systems.

    · Reinforce escalation discipline to Debug, TE, or PE when technical thresholds are met.

    · Maintain strong floor presence and enforce execution standards.

    · Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate performance metrics.

    · Enforce 5S, ESD, and safety compliance within the test area.

    · Support audit readiness including ISO and internal quality reviews.

    · Develop technicians through coaching, performance feedback, and accountability enforcement.

    · Prepare production reports and communicate operational risks to leadership.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    · High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.

    · Minimum 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in server hardware, electronics manufacturing, or diagnostic testing environment.

    · Strong knowledge of server architecture and rack validation processes.

    · Experience with structured system-level testing and validation workflows.

    · Ability to interpret technical documentation and enforce procedural discipline.

    · Experience driving throughput in a high-volume production environment.

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    · Experience with QMS, ERP, MES, or production tracking systems preferred.

    · Ability to adapt to changing production demands with minimal notice.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    · Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete flooring.

    · Physical capacity for stooping, bending, squatting, overhead reaching, and handling server components.

    · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    · Ability to visually inspect servers, racks, cabling, and diagnostic displays.
