About the Opportunity

Reporting to Director Investments, you will lead complex advisory engagements across a diverse range of sectors and investment opportunities.  This will involve conducting commercial due diligence on strategic investment opportunities, developing transaction structures, advising on capital solutions, or evaluating major projects and partnerships being considered by government. You'll work directly with senior stakeholders, clients and decision-makers, providing trusted advice on investments, transactions, financial risks and commercial strategy.

In this role, you will:

• Lead projects from initial scoping through to delivery
• Develop strategic, financial and commercial advice for government clients
• Assess investment opportunities, transaction structures and capital solutions
• Lead financial analysis, due diligence and commercial assessments
• Translate complex issues into clear recommendations for executive decision-making
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships
• Contribute to a collaborative advisory team whilst develop junior team members

What we're looking for

You are a commercially minded advisor who enjoys solving complex problems and leading multidisciplinary projects. You bring strong transaction experience and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders while balancing commercial, financial and strategic considerations in a government context.

• Experience leading investment and transaction projects, including financial analysis, due diligence, commercial structuring, strategic funding advice and stakeholder management.
• Strong commercial judgement and financial acumen
• The ability to lead and manage complex projects
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative and client-focused approach
• A genuine interest in contributing to Queensland's economic future
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering or a related discipline
• Approximately 8+ years' experience in commercial transactions, corporate finance, infrastructure advisory, investment banking or related fields
• Experience advising on major infrastructure, real assets or government-related projects will be highly regarded.
