Overview
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for setting the direction and achieving the desired sales results in Spain. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate his/her ability to drive a sales team and influence change with both distributors and contractors.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the development & implementation of a strategic sales plan to grow sales and market share.
- Manage and develop best-in-industry sales team.
- Work closely with Specification and Marketing team to support sales growth objective.
- Manage the distribution network necessary for growing product & service sales.
- Establish positive and long-term relationships with key stakeholders at distributor and contractor level.
- Recommend and implement differentiating sales strategies, programs and promotions.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, customer trends, market analysis, pricing dynamics and competition.
- Collaborate effectively with all sales, service and operations teams to meet objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate level degree (BA, BS, Engineering)
- 8+ years of experience in sales, including key account and sales team management.
- Minimum 5 years management experience with proven record to inspire and motivate.
- Demonstrated success & experience in B2B sales environment.
- Fluent business level proficiency in English and French.
- Ability to achieve results individually and through team leadership and a route to market network.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skills.
- The role is to be based in France, with the total travel 50%-70% of your time, visiting clients and partners. Occasional travel outside the region also required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- An advanced degree, MBA or similar.
- Irrigation market experience
