We're looking for a Graduate Product Design Engineer to join our Product Research & Development (R&D) team in Auckland.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to work alongside experienced engineers on the design, development, qualification and industrialisation of innovative frequency control and timing products. You'll gain hands-on experience, receive mentoring from industry experts, and contribute to product development projects that move from concept and prototypes all the way through to production.

What you’ll do

As a Graduate Product Design Engineer, you will:

• Support the design, development, qualification and industrialisation of new frequency control and timing products.
• Participate in modelling, simulation, prototyping, testing, reliability assessment and design verification activities.
• Analyse engineering data and prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Assist in the development of test methodologies, qualification plans and validation activities.
• Work closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering teams to support new product introduction (NPI).
• Support customer technical investigations and engineering problem-solving activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product performance, quality, cost and manufacturability.
• Participate in technology development and innovation projects within the R&D team.

Who we're looking for

You'll have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Science (Physics/Electronics).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine interest in product design and technology development.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

It would be advantageous if you have:

• Internship, co-op placement or university project experience.
• Experience with programming, simulation or modelling tools.
• Exposure to laboratory testing equipment.
• Knowledge of electronics, RF systems or manufacturing processes.
