Bashas' Distribution Center Tire Technician - Chandler, AZ

• Minimum Salary: $18.30/Hr

Job Title: Tire Technician

Location: Bashas’ Distribution Center Tire Shop

Hours- Sunday thru Thursday 12:00PM-8:30PM

OVERTIME / ON CALL REQUIRED / WILLING TO TRAIN

The Tire Technician is responsible for the mounting, dismounting and rotation of tires on tractor, trailer and small fleet. The maintenance and balancing of tires are also required. Duties and Responsibilities: · Properly mount/ dismount tires and wheels safely · Properly work on wheels without damage to the wheel · Operate all related equipment and tools as trained · Perform and demonstrate customer service satisfactory · Operate safely at all times · Perform daily check of tire pressure for all tractors and trailers · Perform roadside tire repair as needed · Able to complete work orders as well as recording inventory

Lift and maneuver at least 50 to 75 pounds

. Be on call 24/7 for tire related calls for 1 month at a time. (approx 4 times per year)

Job Requirements:

Consistently demonstrate a mechanical aptitude towards the maintenance and repairs of tires and any other duties assigned

· Able to work in outdoor weather heat up to 118 degrees and cold down to 40 degrees

· Must have a valid Driver License with a safe driving record

· With all service calls and shop work must remain helpful, tactful and courteous always

· Work energetically and independently to accomplish tasks and to meet goals and objectives with minimum supervision

· Work in an environment that includes petroleum liquids and fumes, loud noises, dust and fluctuating temperatures safely and with a helpful attitude

· Communicate well with team members and supervisors, including the ability to explain problems and communicate possible solutions to those problems.
