    • Experience in product prototyping, testing, validation, and design evaluation.
    • Experience leading small engineering projects.

    Technical Expertise

    Mechanical Design

    • Expert knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication, GD&T, tolerancing, and assembly techniques.
    • Ability to analyze and optimize chassis designs for structural integrity and strength-to-weight performance.
    • Ability to visualize system-level assembly requirements and integrate them into overall product architecture.
    • Experience designing:
      • Plastic components
      • Machined parts
      • Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)

    • Ability to develop thermal models from CAD concepts and correlate simulation results with empirical data.
    • Experience performing thermal analysis from component-level designs through complete system-level models.

    Manufacturing & Product Development

    • Understanding of production and assembly processes for electronic equipment.
    • Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes and applications.
    • Ability to design independently and execute projects with minimal supervision.

    Analytical Skills

    • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach.
    • Experience applying statistics and Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques to engineering challenges.
    • Ability to evaluate and optimize designs using dynamic, thermal, and EMC considerations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with RF interconnects and shielding design.
    • Experience in Test & Measurement instrumentation or related high-technology products.
    • Experience supporting products throughout their full lifecycle, including sustainment engineering and value engineering initiatives.
