Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations across our projects and worksites. Reporting to the Operations / Project Manager, the Superintendent is responsible for leading crews, coordinating resources, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and takes pride in building strong, capable teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee daily field operations across one or more active sites
• Supervise, schedule, and mentor crews, foremen, and subcontractors
• Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and logistics to meet project timelines
• Ensure all work meets quality, budget, and schedule requirements
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company health & safety policies
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
• Liaise with clients, project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track
• Monitor progress, track costs and productivity, and report on key metrics
• Identify and resolve operational issues proactively
• Maintain accurate site documentation and daily reports

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in industrial, construction, or related field operations
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews
• Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and occupational health & safety practices
• Solid planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Relevant safety certifications / tickets an asset (e.g., First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space, WHMIS)
• Valid BC driver’s licence and a clean driving record
• Ability to work on-site and travel between locations as required
