We are seeking a skilled Lactation Consultant to join our Midwifery Team
As a member of our clinical team, you will plan, deliver and evaluate patient care with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high standard of service is provided to our patients.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care across undefined presentations.
- Conducting thorough clinical assessments and contributing to care planning across a dynamic casual roster.
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with Ramsay standards and relevant legislation.
- Support mothers on the postnatal ward and through the Lactation Consulting Clinic
About You:
You are a clinically confident Lactation consultant with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife/Nurse (essential).
- Minimum 3 years' post-graduate experience in midwifery services
- Current IBCLC certificate
- Prescribing for midwives’ certificate (desirable)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and time management skills.
