    Job description

As a Power & Energy Solutions Director, you will play a unique role in building solutions, strategy, and go-to-market approaches across Honeywell’s businesses in support of the Power and Energy Management segment. This role is intended for candidates who bring a strong technical background in power automation, energy controls, and industrial energy management, along with the organizational maturity to align multiple stakeholders, navigate a matrix environment, and develop and promote new offerings across business groups. You will be responsible for understanding a broad spectrum of products and curating needs-based solutions founded on market trends, Customer VoC, and internal insights from multiple HON Strategic Business Groups (SBGs). Your strategic synthesis, technical credibility, strong sales and communication skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-business teams will be essential in delivering successful outcomes for Honeywell's business.

You will report directly to our Vertical Leader, Energy Control and Management and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have broad accountability to take existing and emerging products from several segments of the Power and Energy business and synthesize them into campaigns focused on high-value strategic targets. You will be responsible for market research, VoC / segmentation, value proposition, product development, go-to-market, and critically, incremental revenue and margin growth for at least two different campaigns annually. Success will require the ability to translate complex power automation capabilities into compelling customer offerings, build alignment across product, technology, sales, and regional teams, and influence decisions without direct authority in a matrixed organization.

    Job Breakdown:
40% - Build strategy, go-to-market for new portfolio offerings.
30% - Determine the offerings roadmap, coordinating with various HON businesses.
30% - Grow the sales pipeline, supporting sales teams to close opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    • Market Research: Monitor market trends, Customer VoC, internal insights, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and priorities for the larger portfolio mix, with a strong understanding of power automation, controls, energy management, and related industrial technologies.
    • Segmentation: Identify and learn emerging customer needs, define priority segments and buyer personas, and translate those insights into solution requirements
    • Value Proposition: Synthesize value proposals based on market willingness for an overall solution, not individual product or SKU guidance.
    • Manage product and portfolio development: Turn customer needs and technical power automation requirements into actionable priorities for technology, product, and sales teams across businesses. Manage pricing, positioning, and go-to-market collateral.
    • Business Model and Pricing: Develop business models and pricing approaches that simplify the customer experience while maximizing value for Honeywell.
    • Portfolio Management: Maintain a new product / go-to-market roadmap taking all of the above into account. Collaborate with cross-business teams to influence product roadmaps, and coordinate new offering launches across SBGs.
    • Expected Results: Drive incremental profitability and top-line growth by converting cross-business capabilities into scalable, market-ready offerings.
    • Develop and maintain relationships to create support and awareness of your priorities with key stakeholders such as Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and SBG executive leadership, vertical leaders, business offering management, R&D, regional business leaders, sales teams, and other cross-functional partners. Demonstrate the organizational maturity to build alignment, resolve ambiguity, and advance offerings in a matrixed environment.
