Job Summary
RapidFire Safety & Security looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a Texas Fire Alarm and Security Installer license to join our team. Must be self-motivated and able to plan, organize and direct the completion of service /installations.
Responsibilities
· Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of systems in an efficient and professional manner – this includes knowing how to find an answer if you don’t know it!
· Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used, and the nature of any problem encountered or identified with the system
· Coordinate with office manager/dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently.
· Diagnoses cause problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.
· Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of equipment required to complete service.
· Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
· Perform state licensed fire alarm inspections
· Provide excellent service
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements
· Valid driver’s license and Texas FAL
· MUST have a MINIMUM of 2 years installation and experience in wiring, installing and programming security systems, fire systems and CCTV systems.
· Familiarity with various alarm control panels including DSC, NAPCO, DMP, GE, and others
· Familiarity with fire panels including Honeywell, Potter, Hochiki and others
· Must be able to work without supervision
· Be able to lift tools and equipment up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, pull wire, etc.
· Strong attention to detail
· All applicants must have a CLEAN driving record, excellent attendance record and be willing to submit to a drug test / background check
