RATP Dev maintains a fleet of buses, which includes 35-ft. Cummins ISL engines, Alison B4000, Ford E450, 25-ft Cutaways, Triton V-10 gasoline engine. Under general supervision, the prospective candidate will strictly follow the maintenance manager’s directives and performs a variety of journey-level diesel mechanic and related mass transit vehicle maintenance/repair works, inspections, maintenance and electrical repairs, ranging from minor to major. The new hire will be placed in “A,” or “B,” classification based on experience and aptitude. “B” mechanics, under supervision and training will have opportunities for advancement to “A” mechanic.
The maintenance manager sets the work schedule for this position.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Special Certifications and Licenses:
Ability to obtain a Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake and Passenger Transport Endorsement within 90 days of employment

Physical Demands
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
Performs medium to heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, pushing and raising objects and involves exerting between 20 to 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis.
