VOLUNTEER

We have two programs who are always open to accepting volunteers .

1.    Family Resource Center (FRC) works with a large group of bilingual/monolingual families (Spanish speaking) providing them with different services/classes and events. For this position we do ask that volunteers speak and understand Spanish to help with the needs of the families. If you do not have the ability, we can ask the team if they currently have other opportunities that you could help with!

2.    Cal-SOAP-  Under the direction of the Project Director, Cal-SOAP; Cal-SOAP Volunteers will follow established procedures and provide academic tutoring and college access support to students.

• Student contacts may occur by appointment, drop-in basis, and during the scheduled hours for tutoring services.  
• Cal-SOAP Volunteers are encouraged to participate in campus visits, evening workshops, and all family services coordinated by the SCCC.
• Cal-SOAP Volunteers will assist students with their daily homework and assignments
• Cal-SOAP Volunteers will encourage students to achieve academic success
• Cal-SOAP Volunteers are required to support the strategic plan, vision, and mission of SCCC.
