Day Porter
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of all floors, doors, walls, & glass in main lobby & common areas throughout the property.
- Keep all common area trash receptacles emptied.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all common area bathrooms, ensuring bathroom supplies are fully stocked and all restroom hardware such as soap dispensers and air fresheners are in proper working order.
- Maintain restroom plumbing including plunge and clean toilets as necessary.
- Maintain the exterior grounds with trash pickup, empty all ashtrays & trash receptacles, sweep building entrance ways & assist with snow removal as needed.
- Change light bulbs and ballasts; repair walls, paint and assist with building system repairs.
Job Requirements/Qualifications and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 2-5 years prior experience (janitorial and/or maintenance). Experience in commercial office arena preferred.
- Ability to work independently and be responsive to frequent schedule changes.
- Ability to respond to tenant calls as needed
- Ability to resolve customer issues
- Must have prior experience with plumbing & electrical, painting and drywall repairs
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete duties timely
- Must have knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial buildings
- Must have basic understanding of computer systems and/or work order system
- Must have a valid driver license with good driving record and reliable transportation
- Physical requirements include climbing ladders, stooping, standing, bending, stretching and regularly lifting 50 pounds or more
- Prefer management/team experience- leadership in janitorial a plus
- Be courteous, neat, clean, and in proper uniform; always representing the Company in a professional, moral, and ethical manner.

Work hours will generally be 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 40 hours- Monday through Friday but may vary by business need.
