The Hospitality Apprentice role provides hands-on experience across key areas of hospitality while working towards achieving SVQ Level 5 and SVQ Level 6 qualifications. The apprentice will support day-to-day hotel operations, assist with guest service, and develop practical skills in areas such as food and beverage, housekeeping, reception, and service standards. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to build a long-term career in the hospitality industry.
Learning and Development
As part of the apprenticeship, learners will follow a structured learning journey supported by workplace training, practical experience, and masterclasses designed to build confidence, technical skills, and professional knowledge. Training will be provided in partnership with Glasgow City College, supporting apprentices as they progress through their SVQ qualifications while gaining valuable real-world experience in a hospitality setting.
Career Progression
At The Torridon, successful apprentices will be supported to identify a clear pathway that matches their strengths, interests, and long-term career goals. Progression opportunities may include moving into roles across food and beverage, front office, housekeeping, kitchen, guest services, or estate-based operations, with the potential to develop from apprentice to team member, senior team member, supervisor, assistant manager, and, over time, department manager. Apprentices will be encouraged to build confidence, develop The Torridon’s service standards, and grow within a luxury hospitality environment that values driven, passionate, and professional team members.
