    Job description

Relay is the Intelligent System of Action for the physical economy. While the digital revolution has historically left the deskless workforce behind, we are closing that gap by transforming analog frontline operations into a data-rich, AI-powered ecosystem.

Raleigh, NC-based Relay was recently ranked #175 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and #920 on the Inc. 5000.

We aren’t just selling radios; we are building the digital foundation for the 80% of the global workforce that doesn't work at a desk.

What makes our Sumer Intern program different:

    • Hands-on coaching and development from best-in-class Sales Development leaders to help you understand the tech sales landscape and how you could plug into that post grad
    • Executive and senior leadership team exposure - regular touchpoints with Relay's leadership team, including Q&A coffee chats, Breakfast with the CEO, and working sessions.
    • Cross-functional cohort - work alongside interns across every part of the business, not just your team.
    • Structured learning - regular skill-building sessions covering topics from product strategy to financial modeling to sales craft to professional networking and interviewing skills.
    • Real ownership - you'll own a project from kickoff to final presentation, with mentors and fellow Relayers who are invested in your success.
    • Intern showcase - present your work to the full company at the end of the summer
    • Raleigh HQ experience - team lunches, volunteer Intern Impact day, social events, and a chance to see how a scaling tech company operates up close! Work from our amenity-rich Raleigh campus (fitness center, sports courts) with a team dedicated to "Best Work In My Life" (BWIML).

If you're passionate about technology, driven to make a difference and align your work to a bigger mission, and excited to join a company that's shaping the future of frontline work, we encourage you to explore opportunities at Relay!

We are looking for motivated and ambitious final year undergraduate students to join our Sales team for paid Sales Internships. High-performing Relayers hired as Interns will receive consideration for potential full-time roles after graduation, depending on the needs of the business.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in prospecting, sales, CRM management, data enhancement tools, startup culture, and industry knowledge, and potential conversion to a full-time position with Relay based on business needs.

    Experience Gain:

    • Prospecting: Learn effective strategies to identify and approach potential leads to drive sales opportunities.

    • Data Enhancement Tools: Utilize data enhancement tools and techniques to enrich customer profiles and improve targeting and segmentation.
    • Startup Culture: Immerse yourself in a dynamic startup environment and learn firsthand about agile workflows, innovation, and teamwork.
    • Industry Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry landscape, key players, and emerging trends that impact sales and marketing strategies.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
    • Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
    • A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

    About the company

    Relay

Software powers the workforce...except for 55 million members who aren't given access to a communication tool or rely on a walkie-talkie. This subset of the workforce is often completely disconnected - not only from one another, but from critical information that could improve their efficiency and positively impact the bottom line of the companies that employ them. Relay leverages the PTT functionality that active workers rely on, but we've stripped away the range limitations, security concerns, physical bulk and the budget prohibitions associated with traditional walkie talkies. More important though is what we've added: Relay operates on a powerful and flexible software platform that provides new core functionalities like GPS tracking, emergency alerts and mobile/desktop compatibility - all navigated through a voice interface. The technology that fuels these capabilities enables us to continue building software integrations that will evolve with marketplace demands.
