Project Controls Scheduler

Renuke Services is seeking to fill a Construction Project Controls scheduler position at our client site in Charlotte, NC ! Will accept candidates that are willing to relocate at their own expense and must be US citizens.

PCS-2: SCHEDULER
*Full time, hybrid, 3 days/week in office*

Site visit once a month
This is the intermediate level of the Project Controls classification hierarchy. Workers at this level are responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project control assignments with general oversight. Workers effectively apply fundamental project controls principles and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. They have an understanding of associated project controls software, must have hands on experience using primavera (p6) as the scheduling software. This position typically is assigned to a high volume of White projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix. ?Have experience / capability to lead schedule review meetings and work with the project team to obtain information to build / update the project schedule.

Required Qualifications: Graduation from a two-year college or university - business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of project controls scheduling experience using primavera (P6). Minimum of 5 years of project controls scheduling experience using primavera (p6) in lieu of a degree. Working knowledge of project controls principles. Working Knowledge to Proficiency with project management / project controls concepts / computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, spreadsheets; proven collaborative team member.

• Scheduler who knows Construction
• Will be handling actual construction dates in P6
• Not a cost person
• Boots on the ground type of person who can walk the jobs and not just be in the office and need to understand what the schedule is saying by just reading a few lines
• Don’t need to know each individual piece of the industry, but do need to know predecessor and foundation for the projects
• Needs to be Local – relocation has been a challenge in the past
• 3 years of experience would be good – maybe fresh out of college with a little experience
• Would rather have Construction vs. just knowing the schedule manipulation piece – not just a scheduler who doesn’t understand the activities very well
• P6 is very necessary so they don’t want a PM with no P6 Scheduling experience, but this person is more than just a P6 whiz. They need to know the Construction side of the business for when something in the schedule breaks so that they know how to fix it.
• Detail oriented construction project experience
• $1M+ type projects but also depends on the complexity of the project
• Experience working and coordinating between different groups on site

Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university -business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent. PMI or AACE certification (the following or equivalent are acceptable - PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP). Software such as Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoft. The Project Controls Specialist II may have relationships with individuals of varying levels in various organizations. Project teams of external Suppliers/Vendors.? This role is for a project scheduler who must have hands on experience using primavera (p6) as the scheduling software.?
