We’re looking for a Sample Management Technician to join our team at Resolian Fordham, helping us deliver a high-quality sample management service that supports our laboratory operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with existing sample management experience who wants to take greater ownership, broaden their experience and develop within a regulated laboratory environment.

What will you be doing?
Working as part of our Sample Management team, you’ll play an important role in making sure samples are received, recorded, stored, prepared and managed accurately throughout their lifecycle.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Receiving sample shipments, carrying out integrity checks and logging samples accurately into LIMS
- Managing samples across a variety of studies, including those with specific or specialist requirements
- Preparing and batching samples for analytical runs and completing return QC activities
- Carrying out QC checks on sample log-ins to ensure information is complete and accurate
- Maintaining accurate records across LIMS, SharePoint and internal trackers
- Acting as a point of contact for assigned study teams and providing clear updates on sample status
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, operational teams and external customers
- Managing the return and disposal of samples, ensuring all required documentation is completed correctly
- Responding to freezer alerts, checking freezer conditions and taking appropriate corrective action
- Working in accordance with SOPs, study documentation and relevant GLP/GCP requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve the way we work and contributing positively to the wider team
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who has a good understanding of sample management within a regulated environment and is confident taking ownership of their workload.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Good knowledge and practical experience of sample management processes
- An understanding of GLP and/or GCP requirements and working to regulatory standards
- Experience using LIMS to manage and track samples
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, timely record keeping
- The ability to follow SOPs and study documentation consistently
- Good communication skills and confidence working with different teams and stakeholders
- The ability to prioritise your workload and work effectively with minimal supervision
- A proactive approach to identifying and escalating issues when required
- Flexibility and a positive attitude when priorities or timelines change
- A strong commitment to health and safety, including safe working practices within a laboratory environment
- A genuine interest in learning, developing your skills and contributing ideas for continuous improvement
