Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate logs, records, and machinery history during each shift
• Conduct preventive maintenance on assigned units
• Complete work orders as assigned in a timely manner
• Record all time and materials allocated to project work, maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance
• Contribute to a safe working environment by following safety codes, wearing appropriate safety equipment
• Read schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings necessary to execute duties
• Keeping a record of all day-to-day tasks undertaken in facility
• Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment
• Maintain proper maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
• Comply with all corporate policies and occupational safety while carrying out maintenance tasks
• Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment malfunctions, and maintenance work, and prepares necessary reports
• Ensure all areas are clean and maintained at all times
• Perform painting, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing work as needed
• Ensure all tools and materials are organized and secured
• Completes projects and tasks with minimal oversight and direction
• Other duties assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or four (4) years experience in an engineering position responsible for all aspects of engineering
• Engineering certifications preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to read and write English
• Must have the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a self-starter
• Must complete tasks with minimum insight or direction.
