The Director, Social & Content is responsible for leading the overarching social channel oversight, strategy, and content delivery across brands in English. They will champion high-standard execution across major platforms (Meta, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X), direct agency integration, and align brand social strategy with reveals and Canadian cultural moments.

The Opportunity

Strategic Social Leadership & Channel Oversight

• Direct comprehensive social strategy and channel management across all brand handles in EN and FR, including Meta, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and X.
• Oversee alignment with U.S. and Global content calendars, strategically layering in Canadian-specific programs, reveals, and events.
• Direct paid social strategy to boost high-performing organic content and maximize reach across campaign priority periods.
• Escalate concerns to communications and public relations to manage risk across social channels.
  

Agency Integration & PR Alignment

• Drive agency integration across partner agencies, and Rethink ensuring seamless content workflows and cross-agency alignment.
• Work in close partnership with PR/Comms counterparts to align earned media strategies with organic social amplification.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior marketing and communications stakeholders.
  

Support Best-in-Class Work & Event Activation

• Act as a content springboard, elevating ideas using the CRAFTS framework.
• Guide social amplification strategies for major sponsorships and events.
• Oversee overall account budget control, staffing resources across Toronto and Montreal, and account health.
  

Nurture & Support High-Performing Teams

• Mentor and motivate a multi-office social team in Toronto and Montreal by creating a psychologically safe environment that fosters growth and inspiration.
• Conduct annual platform audits, set team benchmarks, and continuously evolve agency best practices.
  

What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years of social media, strategy, and content leadership experience within an agency or major client brand.
• Proven experience managing multi-brand portfolios and cross-office creative teams.
• Strong understanding of bilingual social deployment and Quebec market nuances (mandatory for Montreal candidates).
• Exceptional client presentation and strategic narrative capabilities.

• For Montreal candidates: Native fluency in French and English with deep knowledge of Quebec culture.

Location: 720 King St. Toronto, ON
Target start date: Dec. 1st
Salary: $110K - $120K per year.
Final compensation will be based on a candidate's experience, skills, scope of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs.
