Human Resources Internship - Summer 2027

The Opportunity

RETTEW is seeking a Human Resources Intern  (HR Assistant) to join our HR team and contribute to strategic initiatives that support talent acquisition, employer branding, workforce planning, employee experience, and organizational development.

This opportunity is designed for a student who wants to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in Human Resources while working on projects that create real business value. Rather than focusing solely on administrative tasks, you will collaborate with HR professionals on initiatives that influence how RETTEW attracts, develops, engages, and retains talent.

You will support recruiting efforts, assist with employer branding initiatives, contribute to workforce planning projects, help improve HR processes, and provide a student perspective on the employee and candidate experience. You'll also play a role in supporting RETTEW's award-winning ASPIRE Internship Program, helping ensure a positive and engaging experience for interns across the organization. RETTEW's ASPIRE program provides interns with professional development, leadership engagement, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on project experience.

This position combines in-office collaboration with remote-work flexibility and provides opportunities to work alongside HR professionals, recruiters, business leaders, and interns across the organization.

What You'll Do

As a Human Resources Intern, you will support a variety of HR initiatives while gaining exposure to multiple areas of the profession.

You will work closely with members of the HR team on projects related to recruiting, employer branding, workforce planning, employee experience, and organizational development. You will also help support RETTEW's ASPIRE Internship Program and contribute ideas that enhance the employee and intern experience.

• Support talent acquisition initiatives and recruiting activities.
• Assist with internship and entry-level recruiting efforts.
• Support campus recruiting and university outreach initiatives.
• Help prepare for career fairs, recruiting events, and student engagement activities.
• Research recruiting trends, labor market insights, and best practices.
• Assist in developing and updating employer branding materials.
• Contribute ideas that enhance RETTEW's visibility as an employer of choice.
• Assist with updating and maintaining job descriptions.
• Support career pathing, workforce planning, and organizational development initiatives.
• Participate in compensation, market research, and HR analytics projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Assist with onboarding and employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide feedback and recommendations from a student and early-career professional perspective.
• Collaborate with HR team members on special projects and strategic initiatives.
• Support communications and resources that enhance the employee experience.
• Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of activities associated with RETTEW's ASPIRE Internship Program.
• Support intern onboarding, communications, events, and engagement activities.
• Gather feedback from interns and stakeholders to support continuous improvement of the internship experience.
• Participate in meetings, presentations, and professional development opportunities.
• Build relationships with professionals across the organization while gaining exposure to multiple career paths within HR.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Rising Junior, Rising Senior, or Graduate Student preferred.
• Strong interest in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, Organizational Development, or Employee Experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees, managers, candidates, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to commute to either Allentown or Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
