ROTATING SHIFT HOURS
(12 Hour Shift - 2-2-3 Schedule)
Base Pay: $29.71/ hour
*12hr Shift Differential Range: $0.00-$0.00*
Responsibilities
As a Non-Foods Team Leader, you will provide leadership and stability within manufacturing operations by supporting employee training, safety, quality, productivity, standardized work, and continuous improvement. The Non-Foods Team Leader serves as an available resource within the help chain, supporting troubleshooting, process flow, and operational decisions while helping maintain daily output goals and area performance. The position provides cross-functional support to safety and quality processes, reinforces compliance with established practices, and may back-fill the Shift Leader as needed. The role requires flexibility, technical knowledge, and the ability to respond effectively to changing assignment demands.

Leadership
- Assist in daily training of employees.
- Be a responsible team member accountable for safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
- Provide safety training.
- Be able to back-fill shift leader.
- Be an available resource in the help chain for shift issues and help troubleshoot problems as part of the help chain.
Operations & Productivity
- Understand and maintain net daily output goals.
- Participate in restoring process flow when it is interrupted.
- Assist the area to develop/maintain standardized work.
- Lead continuous improvement methods; be proactive.
- Participate in productivity improvements.
- Standardize work—be accountable monitoring the content and participate in updates in standard work procedures.
- Understand machine schedules and alert shift leader if changes need to be made.
- Understand performance in area and initiate help chain accordingly.
Safety
- Assist with accident and near miss investigation.
- Be a member of ERT.
- Be a resource to help make run/shut down decisions if there is a safety issue.
- Participate in IFE process.
- Trained in lock/tag/try.
- Utilize and sustain 5S program.
Quality
- Monitor run conditions and help react if out of range.
- Able to perform off-line quality testing.
- Audit in-process checks or product quality checks for completion.
- Be a resource to help make decisions for shutting down machines for quality reasons and to ensure routine process maintenance is done.
- Perform set-up testing on each line following a changeover or start-up.
- Participate in decision for putting product on hold; be accountable to follow the hold process.
- Participate in 5-Why corrective action plan and item completion.
- Responsible for quality performance of all operator stations.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Responsible to comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.
Technical Support
- Help troubleshoot problems to root cause as part of the help chain.
- Gluer set-up and minor adjustments.
- Machine set-up (Bubble to good bags).
- Understand basic extrusion and converting process.
- Resin Changes.
- Stacking\Rolling issues.
- Coordinate Profile Changes.
- Cartoning/Casing set-up.
- Minor gauge adjustments.
- Printer set-up/adjustments.
- Additional skills as needed.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred
- Ability to learn, develop, and maintain knowledge and skills appropriate to job assignment.
