    NIGHT SHIFT HOURS

    (12 Hour Shift - 2-2-3 Schedule)

    Base Pay: $25.64/ hour

    Responsibilities

    The Production Associate – Wastebags supports safe, efficient, and accurate production of waste bags by operating area equipment, inspecting plant processes, completing quality testing, and ensuring finished cartons meet order requirements. Maintains accurate date codes and production entries, coordinates timely and accurate changeovers, and supports housekeeping, 5S, GMP, and food safety requirements. Contributes to production continuity by providing break coverage and group support while maintaining required product quality, labeling, packaging, and movement standards.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Make safety your number one priority by driving our safety initiatives.
    • Responsible to comply with the GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.
    • Responsible to comply with the GMP and BRC practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.

    Production & Equipment

    • Ability to operate all equipment in the area as needed.
    • Make adjustments to running parameters as allowed.
    • Monitor all changeovers and make sure the appropriate shift team members know of the changeover so it happens timely and accurately, Ultimately responsible to make sure all changeovers are complete and accurate.
    • Break Packers & Group Support.

    Quality & Packaging

    • Perform inspections on plant processes.
    • Perform assigned quality testing for the area.
    • Ensure cartons are properly labeled, taped, dated, and moved to the correct areas.
    • Responsible for Date codes in area.

    Production Support & Workplace Standards

    • Responsible for Production entries.
    • All housekeeping and 5S activities in the assigned territory.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience

         Required

    • High School Diploma or GED

         Preferred

    • Computer literacy including the following:
      • Ability to learn computer programs
      • Knowledge of Ignition and SAP
      • Other computer skills

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Ability to learn, develop, and maintain knowledge and skill appropriate to job assignment.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Basic written and verbal skills.
    • Troubleshooting skills.
    • Attendance and punctuality will be considered as part of the hiring decision.
