Materials Specialist

Material Specialist Job Description and Requirements:

• Flexible shift assignment

• Flexible work assignments

  • Mail room Distribution

  • Medical Supply Room Stock Maintenance

  • Receiving (loading dock)

  • Regular communication with management regarding stock levels and inventory issues

• Daily Supply Room stocking responsibilities

  • Keep storage area clean and organized

  • Accurate stock level count

  • Follow stock rotation guidelines to minimize expired stock

  • Monitor and review stock and remove expired stock

  • Effectively utilize supply inventory system tools to ensure supply availability

  • Replenish supply/equipment areas according to established par levels

  • Notify management of out of stock, supply utilization or other change

• Mailroom responsibilities

  • Collect and prepare correspondence to be mailed (e.g. applying for appropriate stamps, verifying addresses)

  • Track mailroom supplies for Pitney Bowes machine

  • Screening and sorting incoming mail and packages

• Other warehouse duties as requested by management

Required Experience:

• High School or GED. (Asscoc degree?)

• Valid driver’s license

• Demonstrated ability to use computer and hand devices

• Knowledge of basic inventory control concept and proven ability to perform accurate record keeping.

• Demonstrated ability to understand and perform mailroom sorting and delivery functions

• Power jack, manual jack and hi - lo experience required

• Ability to drive a truck

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 25 lbs. with the occasion lifting of up to 50 lbs.

• Moving pallets with assistance of equipment

• Physical ability to stock supplies on 6ft shelving

Days w/ eo wknd & hols; 9a-5p

Salary Range: $27.987/hr - $29.402/hr
