Job Description
- Engine diagnostics and repair
- Preventative maintenance
- Brake and suspension work
- Transmission: diagnosing, removing and rebuilding
- Electrical troubleshooting, wiring and repairs
- Hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders and valves and hoses
- Heavy-duty trucks, trailers and equipment
- Fabricate hoses
- Proficiency with welding, torches etc.
- Roadside emergency
- Onsite diagnostics and repairs
Qualifications
Diesel Mechanic
Dependable Over 3 years of hands-experience working on diverse equipment such as semi-trucks, light duty trucks, cars, construction equipment and forklifts. Dependable, detail-orientated, and committed to minimizing downtime and keeping equipment road-ready. Comfortable working independently in the field.
- Own tools
- Valid driver’s license, CDL a bonus
- Able to work flexible hours, Overtime as needed
- Customer service skills
- Available as mobile service when needed
- Capable of managing long active hours in workshop setting
- Bending, lifting of heavy parts and physical work involved
- Exposure to outdoors in varying weather conditions
Overview
Diesel Mechanic
For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $28.00 - $38.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Mechanic: Performs work in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.
