Senior Accountant
Job Description
- Perform general ledger account analysis and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Take ownership of monthly workpapers and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare commission calculations and related reports.
- Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the accounting team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Apply strong analytical skills and close attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Proactively establish checks and balances to identify discrepancies and maintain the integrity of financial information.
Qualifications
Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Two or more years of public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP/CSD systems and QuickBooks is a plus.\
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Overview
Senior Accountant
We are a Leading Building Supplies Company with a Vibrant Team of 800+ Professionals Serving Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
For NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 per year. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and in compliance with applicable laws.
