If you know your way around industrial machinery and take pride in producing quality work, this is an opportunity to put those skills to work. As a Machine Operator, you’ll set up and operate equipment, monitor quality, troubleshoot issues, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

Whether you’re building your experience as a Machine Operator 1 or bringing advanced metal-processing and CNC skills as a Machine Operator 3, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and take on greater responsibility.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate machinery according to production specifications.
• Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes.
• Monitor equipment and make adjustments to maintain quality, speed, and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, maintenance, and minor repairs as appropriate to your level.
• Troubleshoot production and equipment issues.
• Read process sheets, cut lists, measurements, and other production documentation.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
• Work with your team to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Follow all safety and shop procedures and help maintain a safe working environment.

What You Bring

Machine Operator 1

• 1+ year of industry experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read process sheets, cut lists, and tolerances
• Intermediate math skills
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Strong problem-solving skills

Machine Operator 2 — All of the above, plus:

• 5+ years of metal-processing experience
• Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance
• Intermediate math, including some geometry and trigonometry
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Knowledge of machine settings, adjustments, and maintenance procedures
• Ability to mentor Machine Operator 1 employees
• Cross-training on most machines
• Understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement practices

Machine Operator 3 — All of the above, plus:

• 7+ years of metal-processing experience
• Ability to certify in multiple positions and processes
• Advanced blueprint reading, including ISO, European standards, and raw contract drawings
• Ability to create hand drafts and sketches
• Ability to lead small teams to meet project goals and timelines
• Ability to train employees on machinery
• Cross-training on all machines
• Understanding of intermediate Lean manufacturing and advanced Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Ability to program and set up CNC equipment

What the Work Requires

This is a hands-on industrial role. You’ll regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, crouch, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive or physically demanding tasks. You must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs independently and work safely in environments that may be dusty, loud, hot, cold, outdoors, at heights, or in confined spaces.

Reliable transportation and consistent, punctual attendance during core business hours are required.
