Join Reboot Monkey as a Data Center Technician in Zurich, Switzerland. This is an onsite, contract/freelance position supporting critical infrastructure at data center facilities.
Technicians will support assignments in or near Zurich, based on client requirements and available dispatches.
Hourly contract rate – based on experience and assignment requirements
Technicians are paid for the actual hours worked on each assignment.
There is no guaranteed 8-hour workday or fixed number of hours per week.
Rates and assignment terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.
Contract/freelance basis
On-demand, dispatch-based assignments
Flexible scheduling depending on client requirements
Some assignments may require only a few hours, while others may require longer onsite support
Assignments may occur during regular hours, nights, weekends, or on short notice
Technicians should be comfortable working independently onsite with minimal supervision
Work is generally within or near the technician's local area
Please note: This is not a traditional full-time position. Assignments and schedules vary based on client demand.
Install, configure, maintain, and decommission server and network equipment
Perform structured cabling, including copper and fiber optic cabling
Execute hardware deployments, replacements, and break/fix
Perform rack-and-stack, de-racking, and equipment relocation
Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and infrastructure issues
Perform power cycling and other onsite technical tasks
Maintain accurate documentation, ticket updates, and asset records
Follow MOPs, SOPs, safety procedures, and client requirements
Coordinate with remote engineering, operations, NOC, customer, and vendor teams
Participate in planned maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and other onsite assignments as required
Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Switzerland.

Data center or IT infrastructure experience
Server hardware and networking knowledge
