Cabling Installation Engineers, Reading
We are looking for Cabling Installation Engineers to work as part of the installation team, carrying out works detailed below to deliver customer projects.
Core responsibilities:
- Network cabinet installations
- Primary and secondary containment system installations
- Installation of Cat6 or Cat6A horizontal cabling solutions
- Termination, Testing & labelling of Cat6 / Cat6A solutions
- Network switch installation
- Copper patching
Requirements:
- Experience of terminating copper cabling (Category 5e, category 6 etc)
- Experience of testing both fibre optic and copper cables using Fluke Testers
- Good working knowledge of current installation practices
- Experience in the installation of containment systems (both Steel and PVC)
- Knowledge of OTDR testing would be an advantage.
- Focused and able to work within a team and independently.
- Good communication skills
