Job Description

Role Summary:

As an SAP Basis Consultant specializing in EWM on cloud.  You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, performance optimization, and maintenance of our SAP EWM landscape in a cloud environment. You will bridge traditional Basis administration with cloud-native, automated operations to drive maximum warehouse efficiency.

Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Provision, configure, and monitor SAP EWM systems on cloud VMs.
• Ensure High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) for EWM using HANA System Replication (HSR) and cloud Site Recovery.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost.

SAP EWM System Administration & Support

• Manage end-to-end technical administration of SAP EWM.
• Perform SAP kernel upgrades, HANA database patching, and SP updates in a critical 24/7 warehouse environment.
• Monitor and tune SAP EWM performance, background jobs.
• Provide 24/7 technical support for P1/P2 issues, managing incidents through resolution.

Integration & Optimization

• Maintain integrations with SAP EWM interfaces: Material Flow Systems (MFS), RF/Handheld devices, and 3PL connections.
• Perform EWM system refreshes and data volume management (data aging/archiving).
• Collaborate with functional teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP EWM and ERP (ECC or S/4HANA).

Automation & DevOps

• Automate SAP Basis operations using cloud Automation.
• Develop documentation and maintain SOPs for system operations.

Personal qualities:

Skills & Experience – Essential

• 3-5 years of experience as an SAP Basis Administrator/Consultant.
• Hands-on experience migrating or managing SAP HANA on cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows OS and cloud networking.
• Relevant SAP or cloud certifications (e.g. SAP Workloads, SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA).

Skills & Experience - Desirable

• Experience with warehouse automation scenarios.
• Knowledge with DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code tools. (Terraform/Ansible).

Functional Competencies

We are seeking a candidate with strong hands-on experience in cloud administration and S/4 HANA logistics environments.

• Hands on experience managing SAP workloads in cloud solution. Strong knowledge in SAP BTP, Cloud Connectors and hybrid connectivity
• Deep understanding of the technical requirements for S/4 HANA embedded EWM or Decentralizes EWM.
• Expertise in SAP HANA administration, performance tuning, memory management, and backup/recovery strategies within cloud environments
• Proficient in managing Transport Management System, troubleshooting interfaces and integration
• Experience with system copies / refresh, support pack and kernel updates. SAP Fiori troubleshooting.
