The People Services Generalist is the operational backbone of our People Services team — owning the HR systems, data, and benefits work that keeps the employee experience seamless from hire to retire. This is a detail-driven, high-accuracy role for someone who lives in the details and can be trusted with confidential information.

What you'll own

• Benefits administration: Manage life event changes in UKG, coordinate with insurance carriers and broker, assist with open enrollment, support 401(k) administration, handle COBRA, and audit enrollments for accuracy.

• HR data & compliance: Serve as the source of truth for employee data in UKG, own weekly payroll status changes to the payroll department, run HR reports, maintain I-9/E-Verify compliance, support government reporting (EEO-1, ACA), and own the creation and upkeep of company job descriptions.

• Employee services: Respond to employee HR questions, process verifications, garnishments, unemployment claims, and status changes, manage leave of absence (FMLA/medical), and track 90-day and annual performance evaluations. Back up the Director of People Services on terminations, discipline, and employee relations.

• Projects & backup: Provide backup onboarding coverage for the People Services Coordinator, streamline HR processes, and support engagement initiatives and special projects.

What you'll bring

• 3-5 years HR experience; bachelor's degree preferred

• UKG Pro (HRIS) experience required

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and strong Microsoft Office skills

• Benefits administration and employee lifecycle experience

• High-volume environment experience preferred; construction industry a plus

• Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA

• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
