Job Description:
We're looking for an accounting leader to own the integrity of Rogue's numbers and help leadership make faster, better decisions. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll manage the financial accounting team and oversee key processes, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, and general ledger maintenance.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real influence. You'll shape policy, strengthen controls, and serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders across operations and finance.
This role is onsite at the Rogue campus in Columbus, OH.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, driving accuracy, speed, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Deliver departmental reporting for manufacturing, distribution, and global operations.
- Maintain the general ledger and a chart of accounts that scales with the business.
- Own cost of goods sold and cost accounting for our manufacturing processes.
- Ensure accurate BOM, SKU-level, and landed cost accounting.
- Measure and report the impact of tariffs and other cost drivers on inventory and margins.
- Design and maintain strong internal controls across all financial processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits.
- Ensure timely compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, partnering with outside tax advisors.
- Develop best-in-class accounting policies and procedures, and provide technical guidance on complex transactions and new standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop the financial accounting team, including performance reviews and ongoing feedback.
- Manage workflow and resources across the department so the team can do its best work.
- Partner with the CFO and senior leaders on financial planning and business decisions.
- Translate complex accounting results into clear insights for non-finance audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a Tier 1 University.
- Active CPA license or equivalent professional accounting designation.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in the manufacturing, food service, restaurant or analogous industries.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing accounting teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
- Proven experience managing financial close and reporting processes for a complex organization.
- Management of Cost of Goods Sold and cost accounting with a focus on manufacturing processes.
- Technical knowledge of BOM, SKU, and landed cost accounting concepts with experience related to the recent tariff impacts on cost of goods sold.
