Join Our Team as a QSR Equipment Technician
We are seeking a passionate and experienced QSR Equipment Technician to install, service, diagnose, repair, and maintain specialised QSR equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, food safety compliance, and operational reliability. The role includes supporting Taylor C708 soft serve machines, Manitowoc ice machines, crusher stations, under-bar fridges, cold wells, burger stations, and other commercial refrigeration equipment.
What you’ll do:
- Install, service, maintain, and repair QSR and commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
- Service, calibrate, and repair Taylor C708 soft serve machines and Manitowoc ice machines.
- Maintain and repair crusher stations, under-bar refrigeration units, cold wells, burger stations, and related food service equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts within agreed service levels.
- Conduct equipment inspections and recommend repairs, replacements, and preventative measures.
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and documentation accurately and timeously.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and manufacturer standards.
- Provide professional technical support to restaurant teams and stakeholders.
- Travel to restaurant locations to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs as required.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial refrigeration and food service equipment maintenance and repair.
- Refrigeration Trade Test or recognised equivalent refrigeration qualification.
- Valid refrigerant handling certification relevant to the scope of work.
- Current Taylor C708 certification (proof required).
- Proven hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing Taylor C708 soft serve machines.
- Proven experience servicing and repairing Manitowoc ice machines.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical components, mechanical systems, and control systems.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively to customer and restaurant sites.
- Clear criminal record.
