Our Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of Rook Coffee’s production facility. This part-time, on-site role plays a direct part in keeping our operation safe, compliant, and running smoothly. A clean and well-maintained facility reflects our commitment to quality at every level of the business.
The Custodian’s responsibilities and job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, including production, storage, and common areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and office spaces on a regular schedule.
Empty trash and recycling bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with facility procedures.
Wipe down surfaces, equipment exteriors, and fixtures.
Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and other consumables as needed.
Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate team member promptly.
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards applicable to a production environment.
Support scheduled deep cleaning tasks and assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
Creating and maintaining a welcoming and safe work environment for customers and team members.
Positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a clean, safe workplace.
Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
The ability and willingness to work varying shifts, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
High school diploma or equivalent.
The ability to lift and/or move a minimum of 40 lbs.
The ability to remain organized and efficient in an active production environment.
The ability to stand for an extended period.
The ability to function as part of a cohesive team.
Reliable, punctual, and thorough with strong attention to detail.
