    Position Overview

The Salesforce Administrator – Fundraising & Data serves as a primary administrator and business partner for Salesforce and related fundraising systems. The role ensures accurate data, effective systems, reliable reporting, and strong user adoption across the Development & Communications team. The Administrator combines hands-on Salesforce skills with sound judgment and a consultative approach—understanding business needs, asking the right questions, and recommending practical, scalable solutions.

    What You’ll Do

    • Administer Salesforce and related fundraising systems, including configuration, access, permissions, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements.
    • Maintain accurate and usable fundraising and constituent data and strengthen data quality and governance.
    • Build and maintain Salesforce dashboards and standard reports using report types, filters, groupings, formulas, and other reporting tools.
    • Develop complex Salesforce reports that bring together multiple objects and relationships to answer business questions, including identifying when custom report types are needed, applying advanced reporting logic, and troubleshooting data discrepancies to ensure accurate results.
    • Analyze fundraising performance, donor trends, and key metrics and translate data into useful insights.
    • Partner with Development, Communications, Finance, and IT to understand business needs and recommend effective Salesforce, reporting, data, or process solutions.
    • Provide day-to-day user support, training, onboarding, and documentation.
    • Lead Salesforce enhancements and process improvements from requirements gathering through testing and implementation.
    • Prioritize competing requests based on business impact, urgency, and risk, and consider downstream effects on data, reporting, integrations, processes, and users.

    What You’ll Bring

    • 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including configuration, automation, troubleshooting, reporting, and user support.
    • Demonstrated experience building complex Salesforce reports that combine multiple objects, relationships, and business logic to answer business questions.
    • Ability to determine how data needs to come together for reporting, recognize when custom report types or advanced approaches are needed, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
    • Strong data management, governance, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to diagnose business needs, evaluate options, and recommend solutions rather than simply implement requests.
    • Strong communication skills and experience partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Advanced Excel skills.

    Preferred

    • Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
    • Experience supporting fundraising, donor management, advancement, membership, or nonprofit development operations.
    • Salesforce Administrator certification.
    • Experience with integrated fundraising, marketing, payment, or data platforms.
    • Experience working in a global or multi-office environment.

    Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $63,000–$80,000. Benefits include employer-paid employee medical, dental, and vision premiums; dependent premium support; 22 days of PTO with additional accrual over time; paid holidays; 401(k) with up to a 6% match; and a home-office allowance.
