Responsibilities
- Process and recycle plant scrap material in an efficient manner
- Maintain the cleanliness of the scrap area
- Ensure recyclable material is sorted appropriately and report non-compliance
- Operate machinery in accordance with all safety regulations
- Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules and report any potential safety hazards to management
- Responsible for ensuring work area is clean and organized per 6S standards
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Must be able to bend, lift, reach, and twist repetitively
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. through out the course of the day
- Must have good physical stamina and ability to handle hot/cold weather
- Must speak English fluently and read basic instructions in English.
- Must be a motivated, self-starter with a sense of urgency
- Able to work in a team setting as well as work independently
- Must be flexible with start and end times and work overtime when required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Compensation
*This is a Union Position and Pays $20.10/HR Eligible for Overtime pay after working 8 hours a day Monday-Friday and time and a half for all hours worked on Saturdays
