Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

The Food Guest Rep plays a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring prompt, correct, and compassionate delivery of meals. This position handles preparing, assembling, and distributing food trays according to dietary guidelines and individual patient needs. The Food Server collaborates closely with dietary staff, nursing teams, and patients to promote nutritional health and enhance the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver meals to patients in a courteous and timely manner.

• Ensure food trays meet prescribed dietary requirements and patient preferences.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food service areas.

• Communicate effectively with patients and staff regarding meal options and dietary restrictions.

• Assist in tray assembly, dishwashing, and inventory management as needed.

• Follow infection control and safety protocols.

• Performs a variety of tasks related to patient's Rx diet order; menu, meal selections, food preferences, and allergy alerts.

Requirements:

-HS Diploma or GED required.

-Prior food service experience is preferred.

-Ability to lift 25 lbs, bend, carry, reach, kneel, walk/stand for long periods of time, taste and smell.

-Must be able to work in very hot and very cold work environments on a regular basis to withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes, such as refrigerated storage areas, ovens/stoves and  dish-washing machines.

-Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and carry out detailed instructions (verbal and written). Ability to read, understand, and follow diet orders, menu card and assignments.

-Must be able to do basic problem-solving, navigation and computer skills and must be able to work well within time constraints.

-Previous dietary hospital experience preferred

-Knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred

Days w/ wknd & hols; 7AM-3PM; 3:15PM – 6:30PM

Salary Range: $25.135/hr - $26.462/hr
