As a Hybrid Loan Assistant / Loan Processor, you’ll become a trusted guide for clients and a key partner to the Branch Manager / Loan Officer, helping ensure every loan moves efficiently from application to closing and into ownership. Clients trust us to make them feel like members of a lifelong club rather than a one time transaction.
This is for a position that will be scheduled to work Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm EST. Candidates must be able to work an EST work schedule.
Job Functions:
- Assist the Loan Officer with reviewing loan applications in a timely manner for accuracy & to ensure they are complete; Immediately notify the Loan Officer of any inaccurate or missing information.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients to answer all questions about their loans and provide next steps throughout the loan process
- Review and submit qualified files to underwriting, including TBDs for Certified Pre-Approval and brokered loans on the wholesale channel
- Complete income calculations, order automated WVOEs, request manual WVOEs, run fraud and obtain AUS findings on every file
- Complete Processing checklist for all loans submitted to underwriting
- Maintain all files in the pipeline every day with follow up and follow-through based on daily priorities; Provide critical updates to assigned team members
- Schedule weekly pipeline calls with loan officer(s)
- Schedule and coordinate partner happy hours, educational opportunities, and new and existing partner meetings
- Attend & participate in monthly Sales & Operations training meetings to stay up to date on policies and processes
- Understand and follow company compliance policies and industry regulations
- Become proficient with RWM’s internal workflow, technology, & loan process
- Learn & understand basic conventional, FHA, VA and non-agency guidelines for qualification purposes
- Residential lending experience required - Minimum 1 year experience in an upfront role such as loan assitant, loan partner or loan processor
- Foundational understanding of government & conventional loan products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Encompass, Total Expert, nCino/Simple Nexus preferred
- Experience with non-agency, nonQM and DPA programs is a plus
- Active NMLS License preferred
