At Release by Scatec, you get to work on something that matters. We develop and deploy flexible, modular solar and battery solutions that accelerate access to reliable and affordable clean energy across Africa. As part of a global and agile organisation, you will work with skilled colleagues across functions and geographies, take real ownership, and contribute to a company driven by the vision of improving our future. At the heart of everything we do is our belief that we bring the energy – the energy for change, connection, and growth. It shapes how we collaborate, innovate, and create impact together. If you are looking for a role where your contribution is visible, your development matters, and your work supports a more sustainable future, Release by Scatec may be the right place for you.

    Ready to make impact?

    Why this role matters

As a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient procurement and delivery of equipment and services that support Release’s renewable energy projects across Africa. By coordinating procurement activities, managing supplier engagements, supporting logistics planning, and ensuring compliance with procurement processes, you will help enable successful project execution. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the deployment of clean energy solutions while working in a dynamic international environment with exposure to multiple markets and stakeholders.

    What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will take ownership of procurement coordination and logistics support activities across the business, including:

    • Coordinate procurement and logistics activities in line with established operating systems, policies, and procedures
    • Prepare purchase orders and support the procurement of project assets, equipment, and spare parts
    • Assist with supplier evaluations, bid assessments, contract preparation, and service agreements
    • Monitor logistics risks and communicate potential impacts to project stakeholders
    • Support local content and economic development commitments through procurement activities
    • Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and records within the document management system
    • Assist with procurement audits and support compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Facilitate logistics planning activities, including port visits, transport assessments, and supplier coordination

Your work will support real projects, real operational outcomes, and the continued growth of renewable energy across Africa.

    What you’ll gain

    • Professional growth through ownership, exposure, and meaningful contribution from day one
    • Hands-on experience in a role where the challenge is energising, fast-moving, meaningful, and built on learning through doing
    • Broader commercial understanding through close collaboration with cross-functional teams
    • Stronger procurement, logistics, and contract management capabilities in a real-world project environment
    • Exposure to international renewable energy projects across multiple African markets
    • Experience working within a global organisation focused on innovation and sustainable infrastructure

    What you’ll bring

    • 3–5 years’ experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain coordination within infrastructure, energy, mining, or related industries
    • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field
    • CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) – non-negotiable
    • SAPICS qualification or certification – non-negotiable
    • Proven experience supporting procurement and logistics activities across African markets – non-negotiable
    • Previous experience in contract administration or contract management, with strong knowledge of procurement processes and compliance requirements
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong reporting and analytical capabilities
    • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with the ability to work across multiple countries and cultures

What it’s like to work at Release by Scatec

At Release by Scatec, we combine purpose with performance. We value responsibility, clarity, and collaboration, and we encourage people to challenge existing ways of working, contribute ideas, and keep developing. You can expect an environment where people work together across disciplines and geographies, where good performance matters, and where you are trusted to take ownership without unnecessary hierarchy.

If you are motivated by building efficient supply chains, coordinating complex logistics, and supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects that create lasting impact, this could be a strong next step in your career. We are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, comfortable working in a dynamic international environment, and willing to travel to support projects where needed.
