DV Scibids' AI Optimisation technology equips these trading desks with machine learning solutions which use real-time performance data to discover the optimal amount to bid for each advertising opportunity, thus delivering the final advertisers significant lifts in performance and productivity. The technology developed by Scibids is rooted in a solid scientific and market expertise and now has a team of 30+ Data Scientists based in our Paris office, working alongside DV's global engineering and data science org.
The Data Engineering team is at the core of the scibids product, and is responsible for communication between scibids and its partners. All teams need correct and reliable data. We ingest diverse and volumetric data. The team also manages outbound communications with partners. We use partner api cross-referenced with a set of business rules to upload models generated by the scibids product.
As Senior Data Engineer, your role will be to participate in the development of the project and make sure it runs efficiently.
The scope of application varies between several tasks:
Creation of ETL jobs to make our partners' data available to other teams. There are several sources of data, for example data from api or files in csv, avro or parquet format with several million rows.
Contribute to the development of a reverse ETL for uploading scibids models
Creation of api and lib to help inter-team communications
Python, Prefect
Google Cloud Environment, Bigquery, Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Datastore, Cloud Run,
Minimum qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a data engineer
Advanced knowledge of one or several programming languages.
SQL & Python proficiency.
Knowing how to program in a simple and short way (KISS principle).
Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
Professional experience working with large datasets.
Experience working with two of the following: distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, developing large software systems.
Conducting a regular technology watch on data-related subjects.

The successful candidate’s base salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and internal equity considerations. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between [€45,000 - €77,000]. This role may also be eligible for bonus or commission (as applicable), equity and benefits.
