TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST – NORTHEAST
THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Talent is key at Sciens Building Solutions. We are seeking a high energy, experienced Recruiter who is a strong networker, people-focused, motivated, and organized to lead our northeast recruiting efforts. This person will manage the day-to-day recruiting activities for our northeast Divisions. If you are a rockstar recruiting professional, we want to talk to you. They should have experience in successfully building partnerships across departments and building trust with existing and potential employees.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone screenings.
- Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Make expert recommendations to help manage onboarding and new hire process.
- Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
- Be available to help manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process.
- Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or People & Culture team during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Determine recruiting/career fairs to participate in; take lead in sponsoring those fairs and act as the lead at the events. Work with Sciens marketing to develop needed branded signage and other items.
- Manage relationships with any external recruiting firms.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- Two to five years of recruiting experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust.
- Experience in hosting career fairs and demonstrated ability to effectively attract key talent.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable making decisions independently.
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
- Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
- Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations in multiple states.
- Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.
- Ability to occasionally travel by air and/or ground overnight, as necessary.
