SCR Mining and Tunnelling is currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Dozer Operators for underground mine projects. The Dozer Operator is responsible for providing support to mine operations and specific projects in an underground mining environment.  The principal responsibility of the Dozer Operator is to push raw material(s).

Underground mine site: Coleman Mine, Levack, Ontario

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As an Underground Dozer Operator, your duties will include:

• Follow all established policies, procedures, and best practices as well as industry specific regulations
• Always be physically and mentally fit for work
• Operate Bull Dozer push rock/material to back fill old, mined headings
• Perform routine maintenance of machinery
• Worker is to follow all work standards by wearing the Proper Protective Equipment to perform their duties. (Hard Hat with Ear Muffs, Hi-vis Cover-all’s, Safety Belt, Proper Reflective Stripping and Hot Dots, Metatarsal Boots, and Gloves)
• Must report to their Supervision for a Daily Safety Talk(s) and receive their daily line up. Supervisor will give the Operator their work location(s) where they must go to work for their shift
• Worker must follow the All-Mine Standards, Ramp Protocols, and work within all OHSA and Regulations.
• They are to perform their daily workplace inspections, conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, clean, lubricate and refill equipment

Qualifications

The following experience and qualifications are considered assets:

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum Experience: 3 years' experience as an Equipment Operator
• Basic Underground Common Core Modules:
  • U0000 Surface & Underground Induction
  • U0001 General Inspection
  • U0002 Scale Loose Rock
  • U0012 Lock and Tag
  • U0021 Operate Bulldozer

• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Experience working in an underground mine
• Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Candidates with equivalent underground construction experience and transferable skills will also be considered.

Please note that candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Employer sponsorship or work permit support is not available for this role.

Compensation

Hourly base wage range between $20 - $22, plus applicable bonus
