    Inventory Systems and Training Lead

    Job description

    The Inventory Systems and Training Lead directs the global support, administration, and optimization of the Company's inventory and materials management systems.  This role is responsible for user support, training, data integrity, and system governance, ensuring consistent and effective utilization of inventory processes across onshore and offshore operations.  Acting as a key liaison between business users, Supply Chain, and IT, the Lead drives system adoption, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory visibility and operational efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the administration and support of inventory management systems, serving as the key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and solution providers to ensure effective issue resolution and system performance.

    • Lead system testing, validation, and user acceptance activities for system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations. 

    • Develop and deliver training programs, user documentation, and support resources to promote effective and consistent use of inventory management systems.

    • Monitor user adoption and process compliance while promoting best practices and providing guidance to drive consistent and effective system utilization.

    • Support business process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system functionality, efficiency, and user experience. 

    • Ensure data integrity through ongoing monitoring and audits to support accurate reporting, inventory optimization, and operational decision-making.

    • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and other business functions to support inventory-related reporting and analysis. 

    • Define and document system requirements and business processes to support operational needs and continuous improvement initiatives. 

    • Support change management activities associated with new system implementations, enhancements, and process changes. 

    • Analyze support trends and recurring issues to identify root causes and drive long-term solutions. 

    Essential
    • Minimum 7 years of Supply Chain, Materials Management, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Systems experience within the Oil & Gas, Marine, Energy, or other asset-intensive industries.
    • Demonstrated experience administering and supporting inventory, materials management, ERP, EAM, CMMS, or comparable enterprise systems.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, IT, and other business functions.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Experience leading user enablement initiatives through training, documentation, standard operating procedures, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 

    Desired

    • Advanced experience supporting enterprise inventory, asset management, and ERP platforms, including IBM Maximo, Oracle Fusion, or similar business systems.
    • Experience supporting or leading system implementations, upgrades, integrations, testing, and user acceptance activities.
    • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills using Microsoft Excel.
    • Familiarity with IT service management practices, ticketing systems, and support processes.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
    Preferred
    • APICS/ASCM, ISM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other applicable professional certifications preferred.
