About the role

We are currently seeking an Assistant Field Services Manager to join our Processing team at the Carina West Processing Facility. Reporting to the Field Services Manager, this role supports the day-to-day operation of the Processing Field Services division, including stockpad operations, compost production, grinder and dryer operations, and associated field services activities.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating daily operations, supervising employees and contractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company standards. The successful candidate will also provide leadership support to the Field Services Manager and act in the role during periods of leave or absence.

This role is well suited to an experienced supervisor or emerging leader looking to further develop their leadership and operational management skills within a dynamic processing environment.

What you'll do

• Support the daily operation of stockpad, compost production, grinder and dryer activities.
• Supervise employees, contractors and labour hire staff to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily workloads, equipment and operational resources to meet production requirements.
• Monitor stock movements, inventory accuracy and operational records.
• Assist with machinery inspections, servicing coordination and equipment readiness.
•  Support implementation of the Stockpad Traffic Management Plan, Hull Management Plan and emergency response procedures.
•  Liaise with internal departments to coordinate materials, production schedules and operational requirements.
• Assist with monitoring operational expenditure, procurement activities and inventory transactions.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act in the Field Services Manager role during periods of planned or unplanned leave.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within manufacturing, agriculture or a similar operational environment.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to accurately maintain operational records and reports.
• Current Driver's Licence and Front-end Loader Ticket (or willingness to obtain).
• A commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement and delivering operational excellence.
