Materials Technician - Per Diem

Position: Materials TechnicianLocation: 1199 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052

Schedule: Per Diem / PRN: 2 weekends a month Saturday & Sunday 7-3 or 8-4 (weekday coverage as needed)

Compensation: $21.00 hourly

Responsibilities

• Assists the Materials Manager in the departmental operations.
• Receives all deliveries and inspects items for damage or defects. Verifies completeness and accuracy of all deliveries and alerts the departments (buyers) of any discrepancies.
• Maintains updated Material Safety Data Sheet manual of items handled through and stocked in Stores.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Experience

• Two years previous storeroom/shipping and receiving experience preferred.
