Position Summary

As a Processing Technician, you play a vital role in delivering the high-quality genetics that livestock producers rely on every day. This position supports the processing, packaging, storage, and inventory management of genetic products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and accuracy.

This position reports to the Manager, Non-EU Semen Packaging and Cryopreservation.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work schedules and duties may change to meet departmental and business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive representative of the Select Sires Mission and Core Values.
• Use jet print systems to print bull and collection data onto straws.
• Fill, seal, rack, freeze, and store straws according to established procedures.
• Update inventory records using proprietary software systems.
• Move products to designated storage locations.
• Monitor and maintain liquid nitrogen levels in storage tanks and shipping containers.
• Safely move and handle large inventory tanks.
• Detect and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or unusual operating conditions.
• Maintain work areas, equipment, and storage locations in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow established quality standards, operating procedures, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet departmental production goals.
• Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
